walking on gordon street yesterday, this dog caught my attention. the colors of his coat were exquisite: the shades of grey, black spots and camel strokes. a perfect painting. i am not an animal person. (i have tried- a quick hit and miss romance with a cat ended in disaster) it's not that i don't like dogs or think they're not cute, i'm just not sure what to do around them. it's not my fault. my only dog exposure growing up was 101 dalmations and clearly cruella deville stole the story. this is what happens when you grow up in an animal-free building in Manhattan. this dog is so gorgeous though, he might just converted me, slightly.

haircut baby!
it was time again. my hair was a mess and i was tired of wrapping it in turbans, so i hopped over to yossi's and he did his magic. i ♥ a good israeli hairdresser. too many of them are exported over-seas and in tel aviv we are left with an abudance of hair "designers". well, i can not tell you how many disasters i have overcome after letting my hair be designed. i'm of the school that allows the hair dresser to do as he/she pleases. whatever they want, i'm game (save for highlights). as long as we're aesthetically in sync i hand over freedom to the man with the scissors.

What I Wore... to the Funeral
I'm never quite sure what to wear to a funeral. When in doubt I usually go all black, but this time I longed for an appropriate alternative. Here in Israel they tend to be quite the casual event. Funny how my first What-I-Wore post is so morbid.

What They Wore... Playful on Ben Yehuda, Tel Aviv
I happened to meet Orly the Artist while at the pharmacy and she caught my attention immediately. Everything about her was fun: I loved the playful details of her shaved head, penciled eyebrows, Theo glasses, straw earrings, felt leaf scarf, ruffled layered red/black taffeta skirt and plaid tights.
I like.

Sharon Brunsher
Went out to the Flea Market in Yaffo and in between sessions of buying out all the second-hand furniture shops I found, I came across the new Sharon Brunsher store. I love their custom-made metal hangers. Don't you?
